For Women Only! Just kidding!!

We have just added a very exciting link to our home page. "Financial Solutions for Women" will be focusing on matters that will assist women in their financial quest for independence. As many of you know, I am passionate about planning ahead for MANY things . . . especially long-term care! As you will see, there is the topic of Long-Term Care, with emphasis on how women are affected - financially and emotionally. Obviously, this is a concern for men as well. Since women tend to outlive their male counterparts, this can be an extremely crucial matter for which women need to know. Check "Financial Solutions for Women" often, as additional information will be added regularly.

We are your Jiminy Cricket!

Yep! We are here to remind you about NEED versus WANT. During these fantastic shopping opportunities, with Black Friday approaching, strive for what you NEED versus what you WANT. This includes your family members . . . especially your children! If you NEED it, if it is a fantastic value, you have the funds, then purchase it. If you or your children do not NEED it . . . done! That's it. Jiminy Cricket signing off!

Come on!!!!! Are you ready?

Let's just do it, gosh darn it! Take one little challenge and succeed! Can you tell I'm a tad ticked? For those of you who know me personally, you can tell I'm being conservative in my emotions here, but I NEED, yes NEED (not WANT!) you to succeed! What challenge are you going to pick today? How about contacting your cable/satellite service and reducing your plan down one step? Just one step! I just did that a couple of days ago. I'm not a happy camper that I lost PBS, Biography, etc., but I can live with it! How about you?

Unbiased Research!

Sometimes we just need a little reminder about the most simpliest of things to do. This reminder is to visit www.ConsumerReports.org. This is truly my most favorite site to research many, many products BEFORE I decide to purchase. For just a little over $2/mo., ($26/yr.), I have the most up-to-date, unbiased, reviews on laptops, plasmas televisions, gas BBQs, autos, digital cameras, credit card companies, overnight shipping services, and on, and on, and on. What I love most about ConsumerReports.org versus their magazine, is that I have instant access to almost anything I'm researching, and do not have to look through past issues of their magainze.

If you have other unbiased ways of researching items before you purchase them, please share them with us.

Happy value shopping!

Back to Basics!

What challenges are you facing today with your financial health? So many individuals are under pressure these days, and we'd love to have you share how you have dealt with the financial pressure in your home and business. If you need some ideas, inspiration, direction, focus, we'd love to hear from you.

As a start, and as easy as this sounds, let's start at the basics. Putting your arms around your "needs" versus your "wants" is one of the greatest steps you can take. Do you NEED that tool for the yard, or it just would be NICE to have? If you NEED it, fantastic! Now let's research the best place to purchase that tool so that you are getting the best value for your money. If you do NOT NEED the tool, then it is not purchased. Simple as that! Now, of course, we all have different will power. So, what gift can you give to yourself for NOT purchasing that tool? Something to think about . . .

Until next time, let's all strive for NEED versus WANT.

Let's Get Inspired!

"Rich Dad, Poor Dad" is a book of which I will always speak highly. It changed my life forever! By reading this small but very important book, I was inspired to look into various options of increasing my family's income with passive income. A few years ago, my husband and I surrounded ourselves with like-minded people, and we now have increased our income by over 20% in passive income.
You too can get inspired! All you have to do is ask someone for ideas, read blogs like this one, do some research . . . you will get inspired!
Would love to hear your inspiration stories. Please share them with our visitors.
Until next time . . .
Barbara
